Lovely park to spend a couple of hours. My favorite part was the cactus garden, with lots of different varieties of spiky plants, and an adjacent succulent garden. The park also has a great greenhouse with bromeliads and other tropical plants. We came in winter, so the rose garden was not blooming, but we heard it is great in summer. There is also a nice lake with swans, ducks, and very loud geese, and a little cafe that had awesome blackberry cheesecake. In addition, there is a turtle pond, and several big picnic areas. The Garden also performs scientific research; they hope to restart that as soon...

The collection is wide and varied sprawling across what amounts to a very large park. I highly recommend the Valdivian Rainforest. There are informational panels available for each zone. The access within the site is by car, bike, foot. It is very impressive the amount of watering they have done to keep rainforest specimens growing in the desert.
There is a small café at the back end by the lake.
Recommended 2+ hours...
