The place is amazing. Fantastic views from the mountains and an incredible stage of the art equipment. The visit is guided and possible to learn a lot. The telescope and experiments are fantastic. Very close is Gemini South and with some luck, its possible to visit the future installations of LSST.

This is not a tourist attraction, but a facility where time is applied for. The seeing can be hit or miss depending on the time of year, but the winter nights are long and productive. If given the chance, go outside at night after the moon has set. You will not believe your eyes!
