瀑布，最早的认知是否来自李白“飞流直下三千尺，疑是银河落九天”，记忆已漫漶不清。家乡的崂山，因为秦始皇、八仙、全真教和《聊斋》而闻名，此外，山海相依，怪石秀水，也让其享有“泰山虽云高，不及东海崂”的美誉。也是因为崂山龙潭和潮音两个瀑布，让我对瀑布有了切实的认识。黄果树大瀑布在地理课本、散文、绘画里见过无数次，尤其83版《西游记》里的水帘洞令人过目难忘。20分钟左右车程，从天星桥转到了黄果树。沿着景区里的山道，水泻冲击的轰鸣如同远雷传来，曲折间透过林木，宽阔的黄果树瀑布垂悬于青翠峡谷间，漫顶而下、万练飞空，捣珠崩玉，雨雾腾空，真所谓“珠帘钩不卷，飞练挂遥峰”。顺着栈道下行，但见瀑布高阔，人如蝼蚁，水势雄厉壮美，令人叹服。我们的运气颇佳，获准可入水帘洞一观，前几天的游客则因雨势水势而不得成行。沿着崎岖蜿蜒的山路，走入瀑布后侧，水流如白绡万卷垂挂洞外，透过帘幕，相对崖壁上，排队而行的人流，愈发渺小，自然鬼斧神工由此可见一斑。“素影空中飘匹练，寒声天上落银河。”明末黔贵第一才子谢三秀的这句诗当是对白水河瀑布（黄果树瀑布旧名）的最佳描摹。
