We went to Beijing Art area twice because we discovered that it does close and stores have different scheduled days off. We found that even on weekends many galleries close at 6 pm or just aren't open. Other than that there is Great art on some streets. It's nice that traffic is limited but you do have to watch out for cars. Some nice galleries but there seems to be just as many cafes, restaurants and retail stores if not more. It is a large area and there are reference maps available on some corners but not all are in English but there are no store names. It has a lot of character to it and it was a good choice doing an adaptive reuse for an old industry area. I would really like to come to this place again perhaps in the Autumn to check out more places. They are still doing renovation on a building up a couple of places.
