Read more3 years of undergraduate study here. The professors are decent and always willing to help, due to aside for a few select majors, almost all the classes are 10 persons and bi-annual.
Unfortunately most fellow local students lack much motivation beyond "making money", so most worth while projects and film end up being done by international students with other internationals. School is also very strict about equipment. Basically, you rent your own from outside if you need to use anything.
The mandatory electives are 3 hour long courses teaching very basic stuff that any high-school student with an affinity to video making should know, so be prepared with something else to do as the programs are tailored to Chinese students who unfortunately do not have spare time in school to know these things beforehand.
The living condition is okay, but internet in the dormitory is slower then cellphone internet, so get use to spending alot of time smooching internet from the school cafe or the school office buildings. (From what I hear from other graduates, 5 years and still a problem)
All in all, the school programs end up giving you alot of freedom to do what you wish with professors always close by and have time to help, but the atmosphere is really lacking and the required tools and environment for work is quite to be...
