Unforgettable experience to visit this historical site. It's so grand and beautiful. 🤩 This entry gate was beginner hiking friendly. There were relatively non-steep stairs up to a few lookout towers. It would start to get steep as you go up. By the entry, you can purchase a framed souvenir with your names, like a Great Wall achievement wooden banner, priced around CNY340. You can get it after about 45mins. There were also souvenir shops, food stalls, tables and seats for eating. A large toilet area near the parking offers 2 western style toilet (bowl) and a lot of squat toilets. There's also a smaller comfort room in the middle of Great Wall grounds, before going up. We visited when the weather was cool so everything felt and looked great! We had fun exploring the walls and getting souvenirs. Our tour guide took care of entry passes, transport.

What an experience! This part of the Great Wall is so well persevered it’s a magnificent sight, and a great leg work out as well! Our group arrived early in the morning and there was hardly anyone there, it was really calm so my husband and I could climb up and round all within the time we had. Despite being incredibly well persevered, be mindful that some of the steps are very large and others very small, be sure you’ve got grippy shoes and a bottle of water, but there are some shops as you continue to up the wall if you need anything. The higher you climb the more difficult it is and if you head round to the opposite side the downward stairs become very steep. We were incredibly lucky that we had a clear and sunny day as it made for incredible views and wonderful picture opportunities. A bucket-list, World Wonder at its finest.
