Chuanshan Park （North Gate） — Attraction in Guilin

Good hike up two hills. Hike up chuanshan peaks for good views of the city, and hang out in a cave that goes through the hill. Hike up pagoda hill the see the 500 year old pagoda.

You can get into the park without paying entrance ticket, just carry a plastic bag to look local and walk right through the front gate. If you have no chance of looking local (non-east Asian), there is a scrambling trail up the hill where the park intersects the stadium, you can also try to walk in through the nearby zhangtai residential community.

There have been severe damage to the pagoda hill itself and chuanshan hill area from nearby property developments, which really takes away from...

The park is bustling with activities like dancing groups but also good for a quiet walk with family and friends.

The view across the lake to the pagoda is really one of the most beautiful things I have seen.

The park also has a cave where you pay an entrance fee but we didn't go in.
