靈隱寺位於杭州西湖靈隱山麓，背靠北高峰、面朝飛來峰，建於東晉咸和3年(西元328年)，是江南著名古剎之一，北宋時氣象恢宏的靈隱寺列為禪院五山之首，又稱為「雲林禪寺」；相傳靈隱寺的命名由來，是在東晉咸和初有位西印度僧人慧理和尚，自中原遊浙江至武林(即今日杭州），看見這裡山峰奇秀而嘆曰：「此乃中天竺國靈鷲山一小嶺，不知何以飛來？佛在世日，多為仙靈所隱，遂於峰前建寺，名曰靈隱」便在此建寺並取名為靈隱寺，後來濟公在此出家靈隱寺也因此聞名，而杭州少見的古代石窟藝術瑰寶「飛來峰」的名稱也是由此而來。

從沒見過這麼大的寺廟景區! 光是從大門走到靈隱寺，就好遠好遠，不過沿途青山綠水、曲徑通幽，邊走邊玩，就不覺得路遠，尤其是溪邊山壁上刻著一尊尊佛像，栩栩如生，那巧奪天工的，令人嘖嘖讚嘆! 過了「錢塘第一福地」一一靈隱寺，再往上走，就可到永福寺、飛來峰......，可謂「山外有山、寺外有寺、峰外有峰」，若是慢慢遊覽，一天的行程，必定走不盡、看不完，它太寬廣了。 在景區裡，觀塔觀寺、敬佛敬僧、看山看水......，立刻俗慮全消，浸潤在這樣...
