If you are spending some time in Hong Kong, this is a place you must visit. A great place to enjoy nature away from the city life. The waterfall was beautiful and we enjoyed it a lot. Bride’s pool trail entrance is about 25 min drive from Tai Po if you take a taxi. There is a bus that will take about 50 min to get there (20R) from Tai Po but it’s not frequent. I guess it might be scheduled as one per hour. We took a taxi for 120 HKD. The entrance from UNESCO geo park will take you through a well paved path down the hill through barbecue sites to the pool. But it’s bit a round way. The entrance to the shortest path to brides pool is at the next car park passing the UNESCO geo park when you are traveling from Tai Po. The path is lined with rocks and not very smooth. But if you are up for hiking it’s not a big deal. The path ends closer to the pool and you will have to walk over the rocks to view the waterfall. The rocks are slippery and one must be careful when climbing. On our way back we walked from the Bride’s pool to Tai Mei Tuk Tsuen (4.2 km) down the hill and took a bus from there to Tai Po. Buses are frequent from there (at least...

In memories of this ill-fated bride who got drown there, the pool was named Bride's Pool.
Up ahead on the river bed you find pot-holes carved by swirling sand and gravels which are washed down by water seeping through rock joints. This nature trail passes by the Bride's Pool Stone Bridge, which was built in 1906 by local villagers to provide a link between Wu Kau Tang and Chung Mei Village. After the bridge, back to Bride's Pool Road and comes to an...
