The Bride's Pool Waterfall is one of Hong Kong's most attractive falls and nature areas, a place well worth exploring in the heart of the Plover Cove Country Park. It is located in the Bride's Pool Nature area to the east of Bride's Pool Road.

There is a Nature Trail that starts at the north and south sides of the falls at designated BBQ areas. The trail is well-maintained and fairly easy. It leads down to the stream below the falls from which you find natural trail leading up a series of large boulders and rounds of stream pools and small cascades until you reach the Bride's Pool and Waterfall.

The pool area is beautiful and photogenic. There is a flat area on the side where you can have a bit of a picnic if the area isn't crowded. During warmer months and on weekends, you can find lots of people here. If you want unobstructed pictures, make sure to come early in the day before the day visitors begin to arrive.

Note: To visit take green mini-bus 20R or bus 275R (on Sundays and public holidays) from the Tai Po Market Station directly to the BBQ Site just next to the Nature Trail trailhead. Alternatively, you can take mini-bus 20C which drops off at Tai Mei Tuk a few km south at Plover Cove Reservoir. From there you can take a short taxi ride or hike up to Bride's Pool...

One of beautiful waterfall located in Hong Kong. You can reach to this place from taking 20R mini bus from Tai Po Market MTR station. However, this bus only available 1.30 hr frequently. Alternative if you visit this place in Sunday or Public Holiday then you can take 275R bus from Tai Po Market station which is more convenient. Once you get the bus you can get off from bride’s pool road. There is small trail you have to take to reach this place. Also there are two ways you can reach to the waterfall one is stating from Bride’s pool nature trail or Bride’s pool barbecue site. Once you take the trail then halfway through you have to exit from usual trail and take a down route to come to the bottom of the waterfall. Once you reach to the bottom of waterfall the sceneries are fantastic and you can take beautiful pictures. But have to be careful when you reach to this place because some times rocks are slippery. Once you complete watching waterfall then you can came back to trail and continue towards that and complete the round trail which is not more that 3 kms. Overall well recommended this place if you are nature lover and visit Hong Kong for...

Difficulty 2/5 stars; you’ll have to walk/climb up a stream to reach the pool.

The 15 meters high Bride’s Pool Waterfall is located in Shuen Wan Country Park. It is easily accessible from the main road, Bride’s Pool Road parking lot/gazebo. There are a few different ways to walk there but we went this way: descend from the main road via the staircase in the parking lot. As you walk down, you’ll pass by some picnic/BBQ areas. You’ll reach a split end. Take the left which will bring you to the Bride’s Pool (right, up the stairs to Mirror’s Pool with a 35 meter high waterfall). You’ll reach another split end, take the descend one and continue. You’ll reach an open space with a stream. If you want to reach the waterfall, you’ll have to walk/climb up the stones to reach to the upper stream. The stones are slippery at times covered with lichen. Reward yourself with a dip in the pool at the end of the walk. The water is quite clear, you can see some fishes and shrimps...
