Ma On Shan is truly a hidden gem in Hong Kong, and one of its finest attractions is the breathtaking sunset view in Sai Kung. As the sun descends over the picturesque Sai Kung Peninsula, it paints the sky with vibrant hues that will leave you in awe. Perched atop Ma On Shan, you'll be treated to an enchanting spectacle as the golden rays reflect off the azure waters, casting a warm glow over the surrounding landscapes. The juxtaposition of the rugged mountains and the glistening sea creates a scene straight out of a postcard. Watching the sunset from Sai Kung is a serene experience, providing a much-needed respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. The tranquility of the moment allows you to fully appreciate nature's beauty and find peace within. Not only is the sunset view in Sai Kung a visual feast, but it also offers a sense of tranquility and serenity that is hard to find elsewhere. It's the perfect place to unwind, reflect, and be mesmerized by the sheer magnificence of nature. Ma On Shan and its enchanting sunset view in Sai Kung are a true testament to the remarkable beauty that Hong Kong has to offer. Whether you're a local resident or a visitor, this scenic spot is definitely worth exploring and cherishing.

This is one of the #easyhike in #hongkong. If your looking for #spectacular #scenery then this is the hike for you. You start from Ma On Shan MTR. Where you can start the walk. We took the easy route by taking a taxi which cost about $50. We got a fair way up the mountain. Just ask for Ma On Shan BBQ site or Ma On Shan Tsuen. Getting off at the BBQ site is the simplest. From there continue down the road and follow the Ma On Shan Country trail. #mainshancountrytrail . The road will fork keep to the left (the sign will say Ngong Ping). The road will start to climb and turn to a rough road. Follow the path and sign posts to the top. About 1 5 hours. #ngongping Great place to camp and visit.

A place of natural beauty, Ngong Ping offers stunning views of Saikung district. Many grassy vantage points and places to pitch tents or have a picnic. There's a designated camping site nearby complete with a basic toilet. The nearby Pyramid Hill requires a steep climb up a stony trail. Take extreme care as the path is rocky and narrow. No BBQ areas, toilets, snack shops or rubbish bins. There are multiple footpaths to access Ngong Ping including Trailwalker Stage 4. From the Ma On Shan BBQ area, it's about an hour's walk.
