❗️if you are staying overnight bewere of a singular boar❗️28th October 2025great hike, easy, stone roads doable even when you have gear on ur back for camping. amazing views for such a easy hike. would recommend staying with lots of people at camp around 30-40 even if it's crowded at least it's safe. when we camped there it was empty just 3 adults and 13 kids 12-13 years old and me 14 around 7pm while we were setting up our tents a wild boar came and took our food ripped it up and stole some of it leaving the bag ripped as we chased it away. be ware of boar at night 4 tents damaged major damage on adult's tent 3 holes in total minor damage in kid tent 2 times the boar attacked it minor damage in my tent (new and 900$💸) kinda annoyed poles bent it bit my tent and ripped 2 holes in it tiny ones but still holes. the boars would not leave us alone me along with 2-3 other kids barely had sleep i had no sleep while keeping watch and my friend had 1-2 hours of sleep. there was a family with us and their tents got ripped open completely as well. the boar's mouth smelt foul left a bite mark on my classmates tent. 3-4 attacks in total stay safe out there. but there's also some good. in the morning walk to almost the edge there's a rock where you can see obviously hundreds sat on it. gave a great view. over the campsite there was a few trees on the taller parts no need to be paranoid like us. we thought it was a boar or even multiple. if even after reading this you wanna set up a tent there then be careful. it is very breezy up there lots of wind some tents almost flew away 🤣🤣 and...

one of the best easy hiking trails in Hong Kong.

start from the Ma On Shan Country Park, after a 30min walk along the upslope rocky/rugged trail you'll find the gorgeous Ngong Ping Plateau. (you may bumped into some feral cows - stay calm and carry on.)

there you can enjoy a magnificent view overlooking Sharp Peak, High Island Reservoir, Yim Tin Tsai, Sai Kung, Pak Sha Wan (Hebe Haven) and High Junk Peak. there's a piece of rock on where people stand for photo shooting and guts testing. occasionally you'll see paragliders too.

for a pleasant hiking experience for everyone, PLEASE KEEP QUIET AND...

Yucky toilets, no water source, lots of buffalo poops. Ngong Ping is very popular among tourists. If you expect calm sleep, might not going to happen - tourists chat loud till morning and some even make parties with music at the beginning of Campsite. We've encountered 3 different parties close to each other, volume level was really high, we started to hear that well before we...

Nice place for picnic. It is supposed to be a campsite but I am not familiar with camping rules in HK. Hiking up is quite easy as it is close to Ma On Shan village, where you can get by taxi or minibus. Nice idea is to hike up, have a picnic, continue hike to Sai Kung on the other side and then take bus wherever you came from. Beautiful panoramas for the spot.

One of my favourite camping site! Very easy access, walking on trek for around 0.5-1 hour to get to the peak. You could see people paragliding from time to time. You could also see cows and sunrise The only disadvantage is having too many people on some of the days
