This is a traditional Chinese style pavilion set up in the mid slope area west of Lion Rock located along the MacLehose Trail Section 5 in the middle of Lion Rock Country Park to commemorate the reunification of Hong Kong and China. The pavilion location is something of a crossroad rest stop for hikers going (1) north to Amah Rock and Shatin Pass, (2) west to Beacon Hill and western end of Section #5 or (3) east to Lion Rock and the eastern part of Section #5.

A little shelter to rest those weary legs. There used to be a lot of monkeys. But they have since moved to where there is more garbage. Lion Rock is a short, steep hike away and the views are incredible.

Good place to have a rest here, as it’s the mid way point if you walk from Kowloon to Sha Tin. It’s also the gateway to Lion Rock peak.
