Brand new slick train station . The most convenient way to and fro Lijiang , Dali and Kunming . Ticket counter is close to the gate . For foreigners it is advisible to get a phyisical ticket at the station although it is possible to book on line if you have wechat payment facility and you need your passport for getting through the gate . The staff are still new and feeling their way especially with foreigners. They are helpful nonetheless . Very clean and large railway station. Like an airport. Everything is quite well organised. You need to present your passport to enter, and once again before boarding your train. The only problem is traffic control. Some very rude people push hard from behind and squash everyone in the middle.
