This temple is somewhat confusingly called Big Buddha Temple (大佛寺) by locals (and on some maps and the bus stop), but in fact its official name is Longxing Temple (隆兴寺). A beautiful and very large temple, set in lovely grounds, you should allow at least an hour for your visit. The huge copper Guanyin after which the temple is named is extremely impressive. Entry costs 50RMB. Unlike the other temples in Zhengding which are lit up and stay open until 11pm, this one closes at 5.30.
It’s very easy to get to, being only a 20-minute cab ride/drive from the centre, or take bus 177 from the medical university bus stop (河北医大) north of the stadium on Zhongshan Road to Zhengding Nanmen (正定南门; if using a transport card you’ll be asked to pay a second time when leaving the previous payment zone).
