A nice walking area, a beautiful square, and a beautiful sunset from here. I usually used to get here at least once a week, ro enjoy walk near the lake but also the ancient ambience in the surrounding area. Easy to get here from old train station. Have a visit to the museum, a nice temple and worth seeing from inside. Definitely recommend 👌

Such a lovely place to walk around. Beautiful buildings and lots of nature. Different buildings have history along with Yueyang tower. You have amazing views of Dongting lake.

遊走岳陽樓 夕陽後的岳陽樓在洞庭湖邊上，過了下午五點後就休息♨️，不能登樓眺望湖水之美….. 樓邊有🈶️ㄧ條街🪢「汴河街」是當地的特色美食區，到岳陽樓的旅客🧳們都會去走走吃吃當地小吃及遊覽一番……. 在「岳陽樓新景區記」內紀錄📝了新景區的事蹟，除了夜間的岳陽樓外，景區內的有🈶️ㄧ巨大雕像🗿「后羿射蛇」🐍，及湖邊商店區和湖邊藝人歌唱聲非常精彩⋯⋯ 魚巷子、岳州花燈大樓（KFG）、老漁頭、六門閘風干魚及洞庭南路「口河街」等很多地方可🉑️供民眾遊走參觀….. 這是一個非常美麗壯觀的風景名勝景點，客倌們有機會🤔可以😌來此旅遊唄⋯⋯

浩浩洞庭湖，巍巍岳阳楼，想必在那个年代是非常有气势的。岳阳楼建于公元220年前后，历代多有修葺，民国十一年（1922）7月27日湘军进占岳阳，岳阳楼窗梁栋柱等多半被毁。中华民国十二年（1923）是年古城墙仅岳阳楼与半边街尚存少许。民国十三年（1924）1月21日，葛应龙拟筹款重修岳阳楼未果。民国二十二年（1933年）湖南省政府拨款重新修葺。民国二十三年（1934）2月17日岳阳楼重修竣工，1983年，国务院拨专款对岳阳楼落架大修，把构件按原件复制更新，历时十个月，保存了55%以上构件原物。如此，怕是已经算不上真正的古迹了，否则，做为中国的三大名楼，何以到1988年才被评为全国重点文物保护单位。现在的岳阳楼被一群仿古建筑环绕，游客以为真的置身于古迹之中，其实徒有虚名，最可笑的是将一个子虚乌有的“小乔墓”置于楼旁，而真正的古迹-三国名士鲁肃的坟墓却圈在墙外。70元的门票也不便宜。顺着洞庭湖畔走走，远眺岳阳...
