I was going to leave 2 stars, but read you had pay for banos' aquarious was way better. We sat in a chair and they wanted 45,000 COP. I dont feel bad leaving 1 star since there are a bunch of 5 star reviews to be fooled by. You get dropped off, herded to a table, told to order immediately or it's complicated. Food came out for others in 2 seconds? How'd that happen? (It did look good'*update- looked at other reviews- they didn't like their food). Then you're done being on the beach and waiting for your boat to come back. Aquarious had plentiful fishlife, nurseshark, we didn't get to the beach on the right- maybe you have to pay for banos there too. We were just there an hour.
In the end, I recommend Isla de Providencia if you want beaches. I loved the variety of beaches, the accesibility, and the restaurants on the beaches in Providencia. As for johnny cay, I was happy with the beach across from Molino de viento. I'm sorry to those who make a living off Johnny cay' don't think you'll suffer any from...
Read moreThe island is absolutely stunning, but the prices are outrageous. We were charged 160K COP for two piña coladas, and while the portions are generous, the food itself was really disappointing. We paid 220K COP for fried chicken and garlic shrimp, neither of which were great. It felt like we were charged more than Spanish-speaking tourists, and if you don’t speak Spanish, you might end up paying a premium. The island is worth visiting for its beauty, but I’d highly recommend bringing your own...
