What a lovely walk through jungle terrain. There were so many rare and unusual plants, blooms and birds, insects of all kinds. Here you can really experience the difference between a biodiverse wild jungle and the monoculture of farms and ranch land below. We need to protect these special places. The hike is difficult but can be shortened by hiring a guide or taking a 4x4 up through private property and beginning your hike at the top and trekking down the valley. Either way you will need to pay a small amount to the very sweet land owners, I think it is understandable as they have a stream of people wanting to cross their property.
