Playa Buritaca — Attraction in Magdalena

I have never been to a beach like this one before where fresh water meets salty water. It was beautiful and nice to have the option of a rough swim in the sea or a tranquil swim in the river. It was also nice to get away from the persistent vendors of Santa Marta, however people are still selling stuff here just not as many. The food in the local restaurant we ate was good and it roughly costs about 22,000 COP for a lunch. I recommend this beach for couple and families for when visiting...

A fairly nice beach, but if you're not driving there it's a bit of an ordeal to get to. First when you get off at the main road you can walk about 20 minutes to the beach or you can take a taxi, then when you get there, there is a river before the beach which you can either swim across or you can pay 2000 COP for a boat to take you across (there is a cheaper option to take a kayak and go down the river, too, if you have time).
