I love this place, I’d recommend it for everyone who loves living near nature but still wants the amenities available in a hotel. Most people in the staff are very kind and helpful.

The rooms in the bungalows are very nice with very comfortable beds, every morning you’ll wake up to the sound of all kinds of birds. It's so relaxing. When you open the door to the terrace you'll feel like you’re in paradise. The beautiful nature, the small lake, birds, frogs and lizards. There’s literally sounds of nature all the time. We had booked four nights but we decided to book another night because we liked it so much.

The breakfast is a bit limited but very good. The pool is beautiful. The rest of the hotel area is like a farm with many types of animals both tame and wild. You’ll see peacocks, turtles, herons, squirrels, geese, leguans, parrots and more.

It’s located a 20 minutes walk from the Buritaca beach. I love that beach since you have the possibility to choose swimming in the sea or the river, whatever you prefer. It’s located a 10 minutes walk from Buritaca town, by the main road. The town is the only option if you want to eat dinner after 7pm. The hotel also serves dinner but only until 6:30pm which is a bit early in my opinion. That's why we rarely used that option.

I’d not recommend this place for people afraid of insects, lizards etc. There are mosquitoes everywhere, gecko lizards and small frogs will enter the room and walk around on the walls. One day a small green snake sneaked into the room from the door gap, but only for a few seconds. So be prepared that nature will be close to you. But the only animal that caused us “injuries” was the mosquitos.

So why not a five star if I like it so much? Well unfortunately the hotel has its flaws, especially the bathroom which actually looks very nice visually, but practically it’s worthless in many ways.

The “rain” shower was in such a bad state that it looked more like a waterfall towards the wall instead of water on your head

The drain of the shower should get a prize for the worst design ever. It doesn’t only guarantee to wet the floor of the whole bathroom, it continues to wet the floor outside the bathroom too. Most other bathrooms have the drain under the shower or away from the rest of the bathroom. Here they put it between the shower zone and the bathroom. So if you want to keep the bathroom floor dry you’ll need to shower carefully, which means water on for 10 seconds, wait 20 seconds for the water to drain, then turn on the water again for 10 seconds. I’m not even exaggerating. It’s a low standard for this type of hotel.

The plastic seat of the toilet was in such bad quality that it fell off very often. Cheap material.

The WiFi doesn't work in the bungalows, the only way to get a signal was to sit by the terrace, but even if you were lucky to get a signal it only worked for 10 seconds. The signal is too weak. So to use the internet you need to go to the reception area by the pool.

Badly isolated walls. Most nights we didn’t have neighbours wall to wall. But when we had you could hear them too well, in a way that you almost feel they’re in the same room. You'll also share the terrace with these neighbours. I'd have preferrered a wall for privacy.

These things can cause irritation. It takes away a bit of the magical feeling, but I'd still recommend this place, I just hope they’ll fix some...

Hotel La Finca Buritaca offered us a truly enchanting stay. Nestled in a lush, tropical setting, this boutique hotel is a hidden gem on Colombia's Caribbean coast. The natural beauty surrounding the hotel is breathtaking, with verdant jungle and pristine beaches creating a serene and idyllic atmosphere.

The accommodations at La Finca Buritaca are both comfortable and charming. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated, blending rustic elements with modern comforts. The bed was exceptionally cozy, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and the gentle sea breeze. The private balcony provided a perfect spot to enjoy morning coffee while taking in the stunning views.

The hotel's amenities are top-notch. The beautiful pool area is a highlight, offering a refreshing oasis amidst the tropical heat. We spent many hours lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun and relaxing in the tranquil environment. The beach is just a short walk away, and its secluded, pristine stretch of sand was perfect for long, leisurely walks and peaceful moments by the water.

Dining at La Finca Buritaca was an absolute pleasure. The on-site restaurant serves a variety of delicious, freshly prepared dishes that showcase local flavors and ingredients. Each meal was a delight, from hearty breakfasts to sumptuous dinners. The seafood, in particular, was outstanding, reflecting the coastal location and the chef's expertise.

The staff at Hotel La Finca Buritaca were exceptional. Their warm hospitality and attentive service made us feel right at home. They were always available to assist with any requests and provided excellent recommendations for activities and excursions in the area. Their local knowledge was invaluable, helping us discover hidden gems and make the most of our stay.

One of the most memorable aspects of our visit was the range of activities available. Whether we were kayaking on the nearby river, exploring the jungle trails, or simply relaxing in a hammock, there was always something to do. The hotel also offers yoga classes and wellness treatments, which added an extra layer of relaxation to our trip.

Hotel La Finca Buritaca is a perfect destination for those seeking a peaceful retreat in a stunning natural setting. The combination of beautiful accommodations, excellent service, and a pristine environment made our stay unforgettable. We left feeling rejuvenated and connected to nature, with wonderful memories of our time at this...

100% amazing. I stayed here with my boyfriend New Year’s Eve weekend. The staff was amazing. Everyone so nice and attentive. Getting there seems rough and then it is as if you enter the gates of paradise. We were welcomed with an amazing mango juice. The place is very beautiful and intimate. It is the perfect place for calmness and serenity. Also something they should advertise that made me so happy was HOT WATER! Oh my gosh! Me being an American who only showers in steamy hot water I was in pure heaven! I have been brave doing my best with cold water showers but this was just a luxury for me! I also celebrated my birthday which is New Year’s Eve! They were already having an amazing new years buffet celebration with live music and there was dessert but I felt so special having my own cake provided! I shared it with as many people who wanted it. Additionally, the weather that evening was not great, but they did such an amazing job, ensuring that the celebration was happening. They also included various traditional New Year’s celebrations for everybody, including eating grapes, and having champagne and lighting, sparklers as well as these bags of rice, which I’m not sure exactly what that was for, but it was fun. The property also has a lot of animals which were super beautiful to look at. It felt like being in my own private oasis. Also, the shampoo and conditioner products are high-end as well. Breakfast in the morning really nice in the menu they have throughout the day was super tasty and probably the first meal I had throughout my trip that I felt like I could actually eat and not feel sick. My stomach is very sensitive while I’m traveling so it’s really nice to have food that felt familiar to me . If you’re looking for a place to stay a honeymoon and anniversary or just want to have a family vacation as well because it is lovely for children and this is a place to go . It feels super safe and anytime you need a taxi. They will make sure to call one for you which is wonderful. I did do a massage with my boyfriend was a fun experience, but the massage artist themselves I feel are pretty standard massages that I have received at cheap hostels, and I was hopeful for having a more luxurious experience with massage therapist who are more trained but the price is so low even at this place that I can’t complain...
