Mirador Colina Iluminada — Attraction in Quindío

Cool wooden tower with various levels to look across the countryside. I liked that there were signs at each level with arrows pointing out different landmarks plus other signs with general information about the region and it's history. There are several food and beverage stalls at the base so we got a hot chocolate and a tinto (coffee) and sat in the shade and enjoyed the view. The views are amazing, but slightly obstructed in every direction due to the odd design of this structure. It is worth visiting simply for the spectacular views, and I’d recommend arriving close to sunset to see the sun shining on the city and mountains. We called it the mothership during our time in Filandia because it looks like a spaceship.
