Went here with my kids on a Sunday in the low tourist season and was expecting us to be the only ones there but we were pleasantly surprised by how many people were there enjoying the exhibits, which I thought is a testament to how well done this place is. We spent about an hour touring the dozens of exhibits and we got to take our time observing and finding the animals and also educating ourselves with their info plaques for each reptile. My kids are 14 and 12 and we all loved our experience. Almost every reptile was visible and it was so exciting when we encountered an active one that was traveling around the terrarium. Each enclosure is a very well done replica of the animal's native environment and each species looked healthy and well cared for. The manager, Loyal, was an excellent host who greeted us and gave us an overview of the exhibits. He was friendly and clearly passionate about his work and he answered all of the kids' many questions after our self-guided tour. He showed a lot of enthusiasm for the animals and seemed happy to engage with the kids' enthusiasm. We loved our experience at Reptilandia and immediately decided that we'd all be back soon. We spent about 1.5 hours at Reptilandia and felt very satisfied with what we saw and learned about reptiles in this area and around the world. Highly recommend visiting especially if you live in the area and want to know more about the types of reptiles that can be found in Costa Rica, where to find them, and which ones to be careful around (as well as which ones not to fear!). It would be great if more people could be educated on this subject as opposed to killing first and asking questions about safety after. Snakes and lizards are beautiful creatures that have their place in this environment and deserve to be treated with respect and reverence, which I believe Reptilandia goes a long way towards...
Read moreMUST visit! This has been our most enjoyable animal experience here in Costa Rica and we’ve done quite a lot. Firstly this is great value for money. Not over priced at all, $15 per adult, $7 for children. Under 4’a free. We spent around 2hrs there. We were greeted by the owner who was really friendly, knowledgable and happy to answer all our questions. You can see that it has had a lot of renovations recently and how much love has been put in to it. The exhibits have really been thought about for all the reptiles. I was surprised at how far back the grounds went and just how many different species of reptiles were there! There’s also lots of information about each one. We found it was very well shaded so comfortable to walk around (we went on a very hot day around 1pm). It was not over crowded but nice to see there were some other visitors. Hope they continue to get this support because they are doing a great job of caring for all the reptiles while giving us the opportunity to learn about them. All three children loved it (3,8,9yrs) Free and easy to park. Clean, new restrooms. Only cold drinks available to purchase at the moment. Thank for such an...

Parque Reptilandia is an absolute gem for anyone interested in reptiles and amphibians. The collection is incredibly diverse, with over 90 species to explore, including the rare Komodo Dragon and a giant tortoise. The habitats are beautifully recreated, allowing for close-up, immersive experiences with these fascinating creatures.
One of the highlights for me was the opportunity to learn how to distinguish venomous snakes from non-venomous ones. The educational aspect really sets this place apart, and it’s perfect for kids and adults alike who want to learn more about reptiles in a safe, engaging environment.
The location is also very convenient if you’re traveling from places like Dominical, Manuel Antonio, or Uvita. Plus, the lush botanical garden adds to the experience, making it not just a wildlife park but a peaceful nature escape. If you’re planning to explore other nearby attractions like Nauyaca Waterfalls, Reptilandia is a must-visit!
Highly recommend for anyone looking to combine education, adventure, and a deeper appreciation for Costa Rica’s...
