Absolutely gorgeous beach, very magical and perfect for kids at low tide. It has a nice wide swimming area during low tide that’s perfect for snorkeling which is a rarity in Costa Rica. It’s also nice to just relax and play with the crabs in the shade on the mostly sandy beach during high tide. Be sure to check the tide chart to plan your visit! There is usually a guard there that will watch your cars. He does accept tips. We went here at least 3 times a week during our month long stay in Santa Teresa/Mal Pais.

Cool spot! Maybe not the best swimming beach as there are hidden rocks, strong currents, and if you were to get swept out to sea from here your next stop would be Jaco. No lifeguard on duty so know your abilities and stay close to shore if there is large surge. But great spot for a secluded lounge in a gorgeous setting.

Really nice beach, good spot for the sunset. You can also climb the big rock, just be careful. Watch out if it's high tide you might not see the rocks. There's nothing near so take a couple drinks and snack. Nice place to hang out for a couple hours since you can't really get in the beach.

Absolutely beautiful and tucked away—feels like a true hidden gem. Make sure to go at low tide to catch the tide pools, which are amazing to explore. Not the best spot for little kids though—waves can be strong and there are a lot of rocks in the water. Great for a peaceful visit if you’re looking to get away...
