Nicoya Villas in Mal Pais — Hotel in Cóbano

Best place to stay in Santa Teresa, didn't want to leave! If you’re looking for a perfect blend of boutique luxury villa and Costa Rican charm, at reasonable prices, Nicoya Villas is a sure bet. They have fully equipped 2 and 3 bedroom villas just a few minutes away from downtown Santa Teresa with convenient access to everything you want to see in the area: beaches, good surf, waterfalls, restaurants, cafes, yoga studios, tide pools, fisherman village (fresh fish, yes!)… Compared to all the other options in the area, this is by far the best spot for it’s location, far from the noise of the downtown, but close enough to make a quick trip to pick up food or go to market. We've been coming here for years for surfing and always feel safe and at home. Excellent WI-FI, amazing pool, bar, ping-pong, space for yoga mats, a nook in each unit for remote working. The kitchens are also fully-equipped with blender, toaster, convection oven, rice cooker... They even offer high quality golf carts, scooters, quads, talons and pioneers for rent. Junior is the manager at Nicoya Villas and is just so incredibly helpful and responsive, here to make sure your stay is top notch and memorable. No need to look around, you won't find something...

I was recently staying in Santa Teresa for Christmas break with my family. We were having a great time and wanted to extend our stay but there was no longer availability in the hotel we were in. Went online and found Nicoya Villas about 10 minutes up the road in Mal Pais. I will begin by saying that these villas are brand new. They were designed with taste and comfort in mind. In our villa we had three bedrooms 2 bathrooms with huge showers and a dining area and kitchen. There is a gorgeous pool and Pergula lounging area. These villas were a more true Costa Rica feel as it is out of the bustling area in Santa Teresa. Everyday we saw wild monkeys hanging out all over the surrounding trees. The emplyees managing the property went out of their way to make sure we were really enjoying our stay. Every morning we woke up to breakfast by the pool. Wow! what can i possible say about this incredible villa? we absolely loved staying at Nicola Villas. every single possible thing we wanted, they made sure they can make happen for us. escusrious booked, quads, ATVs, restaurant recommendations! the staff was absolutely wonderful, and management was terrific as well. Villas are spacious, beautifully modern and clean! the pool is perfect to unwind in the morning or after a day at the beach, the kids loved it and so did we!||The owner also owns ATVs and Quads so definitely ask about renting those for a seamless transaction.||Great job at making us feel at home, welcoming up and absolutely making this a vacation we will never forget.
