Playa Mar Azul — Attraction in Cóbano

Okay this semi-secret spot is nothing short of magical!! Our family friends were staying across the street at Indigo Surf & Yoga and we walked down to Playa Mar Azul to watch the sunset.. We found a breathtaking view of the ocean and some fantastic tide pools to explore.. There is a small bar/restaurant, unofficially run by some locals who were extremely friendly and welcoming, and a small crew of playful young local children who connected with our kids right away.. We climbed and explored the rocky beach for some sunset yoga and made our way back after the sun had set.. I love this beach. I used to ride horse from Cabuya to Manzanillo and always would camp out here and enjoy the sunset. Was married here when the family had a wonderful restaurant. Have not been here for a while but still dream of those precious hours with my feet in the most wonderful sand and enjoying...

This is a hidden gem! We took an Uber from our hotel in Santa Teresa to this place. The rock formations were amazing and we went during low tide late afternoon. There were amazing tide pools and my grand daughter loved it. ...
