Balvanero Vargas Park — Attraction in Limón

A nice place to unwind and get away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise terminal area. The park in a bit in disrepair, but while we were there workers were repairing sidewalks. Walk slowly and you'll spot sloths in trees and if you can't see them, little kids will come up and gladly point them out to you for a dollar. Very safe. Lots of families with small children. Walk all the way through for a good view of the ocean...

This is a busy park at the end of the road. You can cross the street and walk along the sea wall and see the old sea port from here. Although ships do come in here still, the new port a little more north is busier.

This is just one block passed the customs building, which is a beautiful French building, that is well maintained. Lots of restaurants and shops are walking distance...
