Mirador del Sanatorio Carlos Durán — Attraction in Potrero Cerrado

I went on Halloween so it was a bit packed but overall it seems like a good spot to check once if your in the area. Maybe it’s best that plenty of people were around because it might be scary otherwise. I would give it a 10 out of 5 if I had seen a ghost, alas..I did not. I did enjoy walking around and it’s great that there is some signage in certain rooms so you can imagine how the building was used during its operating years, I wish people didn’t mark it with graffiti as much...

The experience was very calm, it is a very calm place with a lot of tranquility, the viewpoint is excellent for any time and for people who love the cold it is a great place, some drawbacks are the damaged structures, being so many years old, the structures are very damaged and can be dangerous, also the people who go leave many things and pollute the environment, my recommendations for the place is that they implement a better efficiency in the administration...

Hauntingly interesting! Had no idea what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Visited this when it was too rainy to go all the way up to Irazu (afternoon). Toured the expansive old buildings (in desperate need of roof repairs before the roof collapses or the floors below the leaks collapse). Wonderful cup of coffee and pastry at their very current...
