It's a nice beach but it loses points for having a bizarre Truman Show -like town 😆. No real under current and pretty relaxed swimming. There was a person at the Public Parking asking for 4000crc to park there. No signs posted, just a random guy. Doesn't seem right to us to have a public beach with public parking that is empty,, but have to pay to park. We left and parked on the street. Then walked through the Truman Show town, across some astroturf to get to the beach. Unfortunately, town does not have much by way of interesting businesses, and looks like overpriced tourist venues.

Read more9:15 a.m., the beach was deserted and the shore was huge! The youngsters in our group had a superb time playing in the soft sand. We all enjoyed swimming out to the raft and bobbing in the waves. Two of us walked to Dantita via the rocks/beach. It was spectacular as well. As the day progressed, the shore slowly disappeared as the tide came in and the waves got bigger. We enjoyed body surfing for quite some time. Take note, there are no public bathrooms. There are several trails you can take for a hike from the public parking area. We paid 3000 CRC to park for the day. This might be one of our favourite beaches along this coast.
