Wow. From someone who’s experienced extensive trauma throughout life, I have been on a mission to heal and clear it for a number of years and Reunion has been my saviour. It changed my life!
I’ve had a number of different holistic and energy healing sessions done in the past and Ayahuasca is one where I’ve had a strong calling for it for a few years, but my main concern was safety and finding a resort to accommodate this. The minute I found out about Reunion, my intuition didn’t once question it regardless of my analytical brain wanting to know all about the resort and process. I had done some research and after a call with Tommy, I just knew it was the perfect place for me.
Once booked, the contributors helped out with logistics (as I travelled in from the UK) and any questions that arose in between. Having type one diabetes, after a few questions I wasn’t one bit concerned about the level of safety on site as I was reassured that they had a medical nurse on the property. I felt so comfortable that I ended up doing 2 full weeks there! The second week was booked on my last day of week one :)
I attended the resort with my husband and when we arrived, the friendliest and such courteous contributors (staff) welcomed us and provided us with all the information we needed throughout our stay.
We were given a timetable for the week upon arrival, met with the facilitators and given a thorough briefing of what we were to expect throughout the week.
The rooms were spacious, clean and very fitting for the medicine. The resort itself is like a sanctuary, with the perfect balance of nature all around. The beach was incredible and I’ve never enjoyed swimming in the Ocean so much during free time.
The food served throughout was incredible! Healthy, nutritious and delicious!
Set and setting was key at Reunion and the team ensured that everyone was made to feel comfortable and safe as it was a place of no judgement.
The medicine with the help of the Shamans and facilitators made my healing journey so profound and beyond what I could have imagined within the two weeks of my stay. I received so many answers and guidance about my health, past traumas and lineage along with such wisdom from both Mama Ayahuasca and the incredible Wakana White Owl, Medicine woman.
During my stay, I was stunned how much mama ayahuasca reduced my intake of insulin and showed real time results, working her magic with my pancreas. During ceremonies if my sugars were higher than normal, I would trust the medicine to bring me down to a stabilised level without the aid of insulin and it occurred every time. It even took my sugars higher when I entered the ceremony once with slightly lower blood sugars and I fully trusted the process. The magic was unfolding and I know there was profound healing happening for me in the background. It also helped clear my skin of existing eczema within the two weeks as well as strengthening my hair, nails and skin barriers. I had existing nerve pain in my feet which disappeared by week two. I felt my liver, kidneys and internal systems all go through a detoxification process. My energy and vibration completely shifted and my loved ones have already noticed such a positive difference - and I am in the second week of integration as I write this. The medicine has also helped me heal my relationships with my loved ones and has also made me very self confident and self aware. It has made such a difference in such a short time. The ceremonies were designed and carried out so beautifully with the aid of the most amazing music! Each ceremony had a different experience.
A big thank you, love and upmost appreciation to the Shamans: Wakana, White Owl Medicine Woman & Shamanka. The most incredible facilitators - Alia & Sheldon. Rommel (security), Vanessa (nurse), Hector, Yesenia & Mariano (front of house) for making the experience incredible. Brad - thank you for creating this beautiful sanctuary and non for profit safe haven. So much gratitude to you! I look forward to returning soon. Thank...

Why? Let's start with the seemingly small yet crucial details: the setting. This place radiates peace and tranquility. And why does that matter? Because when you’re going through a life-altering process, having a serene environment helps ground you. Every corner of this property, from the temple to the rooms, from the dining area to the beach, from the saltwater pool to the gym (and many other places) whispers, “You’re safe here. You’re home.”
Now, let’s move on to the heart of the matter. While there are countless aspects deserving of praise—like the delicious food lovingly prepared by a warm and dedicated staff—the most important thing you must know is about the people here.
Referring to them as “staff” doesn’t do them justice. They are “Agents of Love” or “Love Channelers.” As I shared during one of the post-ayahuasca ceremony discussions, it’s one thing to build a place with all the right precautions to keep people safe. It’s another to have people who make you feel safe. THIS is what you’ll find at Reunion. From day one, as the beautiful shaman Wakana said, “I will love you this week even despite yourselves.” And she meant it. You don’t just feel safe; you feel loved and cared for, which is the most crucial element when you’re going through intense, life-altering experiences during your ceremonies with Mother Ayahuasca.
On my last day, I hugged Rommel, the Safety & Security “Agent of Love,” like a child clinging to a parent, tears streaming down my face. Rommel was my rock throughout the ceremonies, reminding me to breathe, holding me when I couldn’t stand on my own, reassuring me with his presence. I miss him dearly.
Then there’s Sheldon, the Facilitator & Operations “Agent of Love.” His simplicity, patience, and firmness were a lifeline during one of my most challenging journeys with Mother Aya. On a day when I was so incapacitated, Sheldon patiently fed me, guided me, and encouraged me like an older brother.
Alia, another “Agent of Love,” brought a calming, majestic presence, constantly reminding me to find joy in the journey, even when I felt completely lost.
And I can’t forget Vanessa, the Intake Nurse “Agent of Love,” whose compassionate touch during one of my most intense moments brought me to tears. Her motherly care was exactly what I needed.
Finally, I must express my eternal gratitude to Shamans Wakana and Shamanka. Shamanka provided invaluable insights and loving support during the ceremonies, helping me navigate and understand my experiences. And Wakana—what a woman! Gifted, deeply connected to the spirit world, and yet so grounded. Her wisdom and care made me feel incredibly safe, and I owe her a debt of gratitude and love for the special attention she gave to all of us who needed extra care. She truly fulfilled her promise to love us, even when we struggled to love ourselves.
THANK YOU! A thousand times, thank...
Read moreI have so much to say about this magical place! I highly recommend!
Though most people in my group (22 people) were new to ayahuasca, I have sat with the medicine many times, and I felt like this retreat center is perfect for wherever you are in your healing journey. This retreat was truly transformative for me and I continue to receive beautiful gifts from the medicine weeks after I return home.
MEDICINE TEAM & GUIDANCE
The Reunion team deeply cares about every guest. They are HIGHLY skilled and have so much reverence & respect for this beautiful plant medicine. I could feel the integrity and heart in all they do.
I greatly appreciate all the guidance I received each day about how to work with ayahuasca. I feel that working with ayahuasca is a skill that can be developed to make the most out of each experience, and I have learned so much from the medicine team at Reunion that has given me even deeper healing.
SUPPORT & HELP
I never felt alone in my experience. I felt held & supported every step of the way, from morning movement, breathwork, sharing circle, meditations, and ceremony. I was always able to ask for help in ceremony, whether it was getting to the bathroom or help moving through challenging moments in the medicine.
GROUNDS
Dipping in the ocean every day was very healing, and I greatly appreciated all the different spaces in nature for me to relax, reflect, connect, and meditate – it was very supportive to my process.
The accommodations were beautiful, and the walls seemed soundproof to me! There were a few days when I was singing in my room or in the shower (I love to sing!) and my neighbors didn’t even know.
INTEGRATION
They even have integration support, including a WhatsApp chat with my group, sharing a huge playlist, lots of guidance, follow up emails with guidance & practices, and a group call a few weeks afterwards. So much care!
FINAL THOUGHTS
The people behind Reunion really walk the walk – when I went, they were in the process of building structures onsite, not for more guests, but for those who work there (they call employees contributors) to really create a beautiful life for everyone who contributes to Reunion. Reunion is also a not-for-profit organization and deeply cares about reciprocity and giving back.
The founder, Brad, is such a kind-hearted human and even joined in ceremony with us a few nights. It was very special!
My healing was very deep, and ayahuasca has truly transformed my life. Reunion will always have a special place in my heart, and I intend to return. Thank you, thank you, thank you! I am deeply grateful for Reunion and for...
