This is a beautiful beach with a strong tide and huge waves. Take caution and do not surf unless you are an advanced surfer with strong swimming skills. If you want to just enjoy this beach and cool off the shore is the perfect place to lay on the sand and let the small waves wash over you. There isn’t exactly a sand bar, but you can swim and float in the water when it’s just knee deep without being tossed about by the small waves. I would be careful of going out further, as the waves would be exhausting to fight, but at knee height at the shore you are safe and it’s very peaceful. The beach is really quiet, with plenty of space and not a lot of people. There are water logs to sit on and there is a parking lot with a security guard you can pay if you want him To watch your stuff. There’s also a small snack bar with water and sodas and small bites to eat. This beach is perfect for reading a book, having a picnic and just taking a quick dip to cool off before returning to your beach blanket. There is not a lot of shade so bring an umbrella or a hat.

Complete isolation, if you can make it. You have to navigate the Congo trail and monkey trails with a decent size suv. You will have to drive across a couple small rivers and deep muddy roads and it can be difficult. This beach is isolated and a peaceful paradise. You might see a couple people, but probably are locals just fishing or hanging out. Very nice people. You can trek to the left around the cliffs to see another beach, Playa Celeste. There’s and island across from you called Islas brumel which is very nice for photos. Bring a cooler and snacks and enjoy your time! Save a screen shot of your way out on a gps because you likely will have no service. *if you are ever lost always follow the power lines as you drive and you will come out to a local road.

Beautiful beach, just minutes away from the more visited Tamarindo town. This beach is part or contains a National Park where turtles are famous for laying their eggs. The beach is very clean and beautiful, not many people and either way it’s so large that you are sure to find your spot. Beware of strong currents and waves. Any car can get here since the road leading up to it is in great condition, the last part may be a little rough, but not terrible.

Great place! Loved my time there! Even though there were plenty of options for where i could sleep, with all the bedrooms, the guest house with master bedroom and "dorm" style second bedroom, plus all the outdoor and indoor lounge areas, i still chose to sleep in my hammock the entire stay.

Nothing like seeing an equitorial area sunrise in all its glory in the from your bed.

I highly recommend this place, even with the iguana infestation 😝 j/k! They stayed outside, mostly on the roof.

One note though, the lady's who cooked for us did amazingly but just be advised to not swim in the pool naked while they're there. Por que usualmente los niños esta en el...
