I truly believe this was the most beautiful beach I visited in Liberia, and I visited A LOT. Be careful of the rip tide going out to the little island off shore. Please stay until sunset (unless you're afraid of birds). At sunset all of the local birds fly toward that little island offshore (I call it "Bird Island") & it is the absolute most beautiful experience. All of these little birds zipping over your head, flying towards the colorful sunset and landing on this island. By the time a few minutes have passed, the island is TEEMING with birds. It's insanely beautiful. The pictures don't even suffice. It's worth the...

Another amazing beach that our tour guide Juan Carlos took us on. That "rock-island" was within walking distance, JC walked us over and the water was only about waist deep. Many little creatures like sea slugs, some amphibian fish that jumped out the water, crabs, and other she'll like creature that we ate(basically served in seafood plates). He rented out some quads and we visited a handful of beaches and we'll went through a little town and stopped by in a cool river where you were...

Note: last 100 ft DON’T follow google maps directions into the private ranch up the hill! Keep on going along the dirt path and you’ll see the parking lot for the beach right in front of you.

This was easily our favorite beach we visited on our trip. Yes, 5 mile road to get here on dirt path, but worth it and saw sedans making it no problem.

We came at 9am on a Sunday and it was us and one or two local families. Great for swimming near the south end....

Don't rely on Google Nav to travel directly to Playa Real... this is where you will end up (on the bluff)! There IS a private road where I took these photos which descends to the beach. Maybe the sign is not true. But I prefer to avoid situations such as those.. Travel to Playa Bahía de Los Piratas, and then walk north along the beach to Playa Real and then Playa Nombre De Jesus ... and then Playa Mina and Playa Zapotillal are not that much farther to walk as well!

One of the most beautiful and virgin beaches we have been during our Costa Rica trip. We were alone there, really quiet and hot. Like movies. If you can, visit this place! Road to go there is a bit wild and even more if rains but its worthy!
