Playa Pavones is one of the best kept secrets of surfing! You can surf your brains out, eat amazing food and just relax on the beach. It is quiet and relaxing and an amazing place to stay. For surfers this place is paradise.

Enter at the beach by the fishing boats or the cove after the rocks to avoid tearing your feet to shreds.

The rivermouth is another good entry point but the rip tide can be really strong on bigger days.

I wanted to do some body surfing and wading with my wife but the Playa Pavones and the beaches immediately to the north and south are much too rocky and the waves and water currents too strong to enjoy dong that. The area is strictly for surfing...

Beautiful black sand beach and a perfect long and mellow left wave for surfing. The vibe is chill and warm, and the drift wood and beach colors are unique. Don't miss the bonfire nights and amazing sunsets!

Schöner Strand - am Ende der Welt, zumindest erscheint es so, bis man hier über die einzige Teerstraße, die dann zu einem Schotterweg wird, ankommt. Die meisten Touristen in Playa Pavones befinden sich im Wasser - wartend auf die nächste große Welle. Die Umgebung ist schon und zuweilen für tropische Verhältnisse abwechselungsreich. Ein Besuch ist lohnenswert. Einige Kilometer weiter die Küste entlang gibt es einen Felsen mit zwei Palmen darauf, der nicht nur bei Hochzeitspaaren begehrt ist.
