Vila Rebar poznata je vila na južnim padinama Medvednice, iznad Gračana. Vila je najpoznatija po tome što je bila u vlasništvu Ante Pavelića, poglavnika Nezavisne Države Hrvatske. Dvadesetih godina dvadesetog stoljeća na mjestu vile Rebar bila je lovačka kuća. 1932. godine grad ondje gradi vilu. U šumi iznad današnjih ostataka vile nalazi se i staro tenisko igralište. Vila Rebar podignuta je prema projektu Ivana Zemljaka i dograđivana u periodu nakon Drugog svjetskog rata. Tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata vilu je koristio Ante Pavelić kao vlastitu rezidenciju koja je bila njegovo "Orlovo gnijezdo". Oko Vile Rebar je Ante Pavelić dao izgraditi nekoliko bunkera i tunelsko sklonište u sklopu vile. Vila Rebar povezana je s tim bunkerima uskim podzemnim evakuacijskim tunelima, u kojima su se on i njegova obitelj ondje trebali skloniti u slučaju vrlo opasne situacije. Tuneli imaju tri ulaza/izlaza. Nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, vila Rebar je pretvorena u dječje odmaralište i planinarsko-izletnički dom, a kasnije u ekskluzivni hotel i restoran "Risnjak" koji je potom izgorio 1980. godine. Nije poznat točan razlog požara, ali navodno ga je prouzročio bivši zaposlenik restorana. Od stare vile Rebar preživjeli su samo kameni dio, dio gdje je nekoć bio parking i dugački tuneli u podzemlju.

Vila Rebar is such a cool spot!!! I really liked the whole place, but the tunnels especially stood out they have this mysterious vibe that’s pretty hard to find. It’s definitely a hidden gem for urban explorers and photographers who want something different and full of character! If you’re into checking out abandoned places with good vibes and cool photo chances, Vila Rebar’s worth a visit for sure :)

One of the 6th scariest places in croatia!! Very creepy, even during the day. Their were several black cats hanging out there!! Much trash there, unfortunately. Not far from zagreb. You can park there and walk around.....if you dare!!

Vila Rebar is unfortunately another place on Medvednica that has fallen into decline, despite its great potential. I’ve been there many times and walked through the tunnels often. On my last visit, I was pleasantly surprised to see the tunnels nicely cleaned and tidy. If you’re passing by, it’s worth a stop, but it’s not really a destination worth...
