Zrinski Castle is a well preserved palace which is a part of "The Routes of the Frankopans" cultural-tourist route. It is one of the interpretation centers of the Route - it provides information about Zrinski and Frankopan families and their influence in the area, provided in interactive digital form. The castle also hosts a permanent exhibition named "Wilderness with the sea view" which presents the nature of Gorski kotar in a thematic manner: the ground floor presents rivers, 1st floor exhibits the ambient of forest with forest plants and animals, 2nd floor is dedicated to the mountains, their climate and usefulness and the attic mimics the sky. All the themes are accompanied by important geologic information, natural curiosities, human influence/cohabitation, etc. Apart from scientific data, there are also lines from the travelogue of a 19th century teacher, botanist and mountaineer Dragutin Hirc, describing his experience meeting an animal, plant or place in real life. Finally, the best parts are mini rooms that simulate certain weather conditions, an artificial climbing wall ready to be tried and a playroom for kids.
