  1. This place was much, much too tame for my 12 and 15 year old girls. The slides are aimed at under tens and definitely not even for only slightly adventurous dads. The Lazy River could be better called The Stationary Canal. Their website doesn't really make that clear. If it had I wouldn't have booked. So now you know what to expect. It's why I only gave the place 3 stars. Judging by the amount of happy toddlers and small children though I can recommend it if you do have children under 10. There are indoor and outdoor slides and attractions depending on the weather and time of year. My children thought it was expensive at 40 euros/person. There are some other indoor 'wellness' and 'fitness' features that I was not interested in given I was there for my children.

  2. The cheeseburger meal from the outside 'Fast Food Splash' restaurant was superb! The burger was perfectly cooked, fat and tasty and way above what I was expecting! Better than many 'proper' restaurants. Given what I got I was pleased with the price too.

  3. I bought the tickets in advance online. The payment site debited my card but then said it couldn't process the payment and didn't send any email. Fortunately this was sorted in seconds on arrival by courteous staff.

  4. Signs. It needs more signs to guide the day visitor. It's the only place of its type I've ever seen that doesn't have a huge colourful welcome sign at the open entrance. It's almost like they want you to be confused or uncertain!

  5. When you finally get to the turnstile entrance to the waterpark they have nice yellow signs at knee height telling you which sensor/gate combination to use with your wristband entry key. However they are too low for the average adult to spot them when you are in front of the gate so you can use up your one entry with the wristband trying to open the wrong gate! I can't be the only one that stupid!

  6. The place is very clean and tidy. Safety is clearly a priority. Everything is in good condition and there are plenty of staff. It wasn't very full on a weekday in mid June so I didn't really need to book online. Might be different during Croatian...

Very nice water park. It can get quite busy. It is normally the most fun for children aged 2-12. In side the site you have a snack bar, which i have taken a photo of and I Dali took a pic of the menu, they also have a fast food place, with ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets and salads. To get in if you are under 90cm you can get in for free. If you are under 120cm then you get a reduced price. Clean toilets. Too much ketchup on burgers though. It has 5 or 6 main slides.

The biggest, the yellow is an open slide and at the end you splash into a ‘pool’ of water. This one usually has the biggest queue.

Then you have an orange slide which is very similar to the yellow one, just a little bit smaller. Be careful when you get out of the pool at the end because people can tip water on your head.

On the slides it’s better to go on your bare skin as on your swimming costume it can slow you down and the life guard sends people down at approx 30sec between them and two people could bump together as I saw as I was waiting for my friend to meet me.

Then you have a red closed slide which is about the same size as the orange one.

Then you have two or three smaller slides.

You have a really interesting climbing frame type structure which connects of it contains net bridges, built in water guns, buckets and a MASSIVE bucket which fills up with water and spills over the whole thing.

There is also a lazy river, they provide doughnut shaped floats. You can also get doubled versions. If you do go please do not take a double for only one child as many other people could be using it and it is a bit selfish.

You also have some jacuzzis in the centre of the lazy river and bridges over it.

A suggestion for the park:

• Get more sun loungers • online booking system to prevent long...

It is quite small. Basically there is a river-pool but the current is very slow, then it has another pool with artificial waves approximately once per 15 minutes, three jacuzzi with cold water (I don’t think that’s what jacuzzi is supposed to be like) and two slides which are fine but short and there is definitely not enough of them. It will be fun for kids though, at least for those who are 9 and younger, because there is a separate construction (let’s call it playground) with slides, water guns and so on, and actually it looked really fun. (Also it seems like they started building another slide for adults).

You are not allowed to bring your water and food, and this is outrageous because 0,5L of water costs 4€! A literal theft. No main dishes for vegetarians, everything is kind of pricey but not like water. Better take a bottle with yourself and hope that they won’t check it, because it seems like they don’t. And paying 4€ for a water in country where tap water is drinkable is just stupid.

Also, important! The lockers cost money - 3€. And no, you won’t get them back like in Austria or other places you’ve been to. You should pay for them while buying a ticket. They don’t notify you about this and you enter the aquapark and therefore you need to get back to get that key, but you can enter the territory only 3 times, so by that action you miss one of them.

And there are no change rooms, you change in toilets.

Overall really bad for this outrageous price of 40€ + 3€ for a locker + 4€ for water. I’ve been to a lot of aqua parks that cost quarter of this or even less and are no worse. But here there are no...

Do you know which was the first city in the world to receive public lighting? No, it’s not London, Paris or New York, but the streets of Šibenik, a tiny medieval town in Croatia, were lit up in 1895. Not just that, Šibenik is also the oldest Croatian city on the #DalmatianCoast, established in the middle ages. It is less touristy but equally charming when compared with its more popular neighbouring cousins such as #Zadar, #Split and #Dubrovnik. Established in the 11th century, Šibenik is known as the gateway to the Kornati islands. Guarded by five fortresses, the pocket-sized town has an amazing coastal vibe and is very famous among music and history lovers. The beautifully preserved old town gives you the vibe of the 15th and 16th-century era. And perhaps, that’s why it even featured in Game of Thrones Season 5. This walkable city has a lot to see, such as the St. James Cathedral, St. Michael’s Fortress, St. Nicholas Fortress, St. John’s Fortress, Aquapark and a lot more. Most importantly, this is the only county to have two national parks – #Krka & #Kornati. So, when are you visiting Šibenik? This post is part of my ongoing #travelseewriteineurope series. Stay tuned for more updates. 📸 shot on @apple #iphone14promax, DJI Mini 2 & LumixS5II Thanks, @lovesibenik, for a great time and for providing some footage. #visiteurope #europediaries #travelseewrite #europe_gallery #europetrip #igerseurope #wonderful_places #worldtravelpics #bestvacations #unexplored #offbeat #beautifuldestinations #upoznajbalkan #balkan #CroatianExploration #CroatiaFullOfLife #offbeatplaces #gameofthrones #gameofthroneslocation
