Slunj Rastoke is an enchanting gem nestled in the heart of Croatia that truly captivates the senses. This picturesque town is renowned for its breathtaking waterfalls, which serve as the centerpiece of its natural beauty. As you wander through the town, you'll be greeted by a symphony of cascading water, creating a mesmerizing sight that will leave you in awe.

The history behind Slunj Rastoke is as fascinating as its scenic wonders. Over centuries, the confluence of the Slunjčica and Korana rivers has sculpted the landscape, forming an intricate network of waterfalls, rapids, and streams. These natural wonders have shaped the town's unique architecture, with charming wooden houses built on riverbanks and small bridges connecting the cobblestone streets. It's a living testament to the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

But what truly sets Slunj Rastoke apart is its incredible culinary scene. The town boasts a plethora of charming restaurants and cafes that serve up an array of mouthwatering delights. From traditional Croatian cuisine to international flavors, the food here is a true gastronomic delight. Indulge in dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients, and don't miss the opportunity to try the delectable freshwater fish, which is a specialty of the region.

In summary, Slunj Rastoke is a hidden treasure that delights with its stunning waterfalls, rich history, warm locals, and lovely ambiance. It's a destination that will leave an indelible mark...

It's a very nice place to visit with friends, partner or for family trip. Its absolutely amazing on a sunny day and views are breathing.

You have restaurants and coffee shops around so you don't need to worry about drinks and food. Just be prepared you will be paying prices like you are somewhere on the coast. It's highly touristic place so prices are blown out the roof. Best advice come there for a walk and then go for lunch in Slunj Town what is few minutes drive with car so you will be able to get good food for much cheaper price then on actual rastoke place.

You have option of paying ticket 40 kuna per person to enter rastoke and see the cave and waterfalls from closer. But genuinely all my pictures are taken from pathway around it and we didn't had any need to go all the way in and pay that price just to be bit closer. Again unfortunately charing money for something that was done from nature and no one should be profiting from things like this. So you can go for a nice free walk and you...

Rastoke is a picturesque village located in central Croatia, near the town of Slunj, where the Slunjčica River flows into the Korana River. Often referred to as "the Small Lakes of Plitvice" due to its similar natural beauty, Rastoke is renowned for its stunning waterfalls, traditional watermills, and charming wooden houses that blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.

The village's unique setting features a series of cascading waterfalls formed by the confluence of the Slunjčica and Korana rivers, creating a mesmerizing network of watercourses that have shaped the area's travertine formations over centuries. These natural features provided an ideal environment for the development of water-powered mills, with historical records indicating that Rastoke once housed up to 22 mills, some of which date back to the 17th century. These mills played a crucial role in the local economy, grinding grain and supporting the livelihoods of...
