CUJ vino i maslinova ulja — Attraction in Grad Umag

Upon arrival we were offered a wine and olive oil tasting by the host who, unfortunately, did not really speak English. Our proficiency in German lacks greatly and therefore communication was a bit difficult, but nevertheless we were treated particularly hospitable.

Quality of the products was amazing and the tasting was on the house - although of course we did purchase some bottles of wine and oil, which were all priced competitively at 65 kn (approx. €8,50) per bottle.

If you're in the area and like wine and olive oil, definitely pay these amazing...

Název Kraljević - CUJ je založen na rodinné tradici výroby hroznů a olivového oleje od 15. století. Kraljevic jako příjmení a CUJ na počest dědečka, který vysadil a pěstoval současné vinice. CUJ byla jeho přezdívka. A jak nám náš sympatický zástupce vinařství vysvětlil, cuj je tak trochu zkomolenina slova čuj ( naslouchej ) sykáním nebo snad cikáním přes horní patro :-) Velkou zajímavostí je Vinařský dům který stojí na skále. Vinařství hospodaří na 6 hektarech na třech různých typech půd. Červená země ( Terra Rossa ) blíže k moři, šedá země v oblasti Santa Lucia a černá země s úrodnou humusovou půdou. V roce 2006 byl ve Farnažine poblíž města Umag postaven nový vinný sklep.

Vzhledem ke každodením teplotám atakující třicítku jsme vinařství navštívili hned ,,po ránu“okolo desáté hodiny :-) Koštovat jsme začali svěží Malvasii 13 % alkoholu :-) dále pak Chardonnay, místní autochtonní Teran, Malvasii reserva a jako poslední sladké rosé, které mimochodem vyrábí jednoduše tak že do bílého již hotového vína přidají trochu červeného a je to. Musím uznat že manželce víno zachutnalo i přesto že sladké nemusí. Já jsem si pochutnal na parádní Malvasii reserve. Na závěr jsem poprosil o společné foto u 550 let starého olivovníku s našim skvělým průvodcem, kterému děkuji za čas který nám věnoval i když...

Was ein tolles Erlebnis! Wir haben uns zufällig entschieden aufgrund eines Eintrages auf coloursofistria.com hier den Wein und das Öl zu probieren. Zunächst waren wir nicht sicher ob man hier überhaupt Wein kaufen kann, da der Eingang und das Gebäude etwas unscheinbar sind. Der sehr nette Mitarbeiter Branco hat uns gebeten draußen auf der kleinen Terrasse unter den Rebenblättern Platz zu nehmen und durchzuatmen. Eine Mischung aus Kaminfeuer aus dem Verkaufsraum und frischer klarer Landluft mit Thymian und Rosmarin erfüllte uns. Wunderbar ruhig und eine schöne Aussicht auf einen uralten Olivenbaum im Hof des Anwesens. Zuerst wurde uns erklärt woher die Oliven kommen und wie sie produziert werden, danach, wie eine Verkostung von Olivenöl funktioniert. Beim Wein war es gleich. Es war eine überaus gemütliche schöne Atmosphäre. Das Öl und der Wein waren genau nach unserem Geschmack. Der Wein und das Öl waren Weltklasse, die Atmosphäre einfach wunderbar. Ein super Erlebnis für jeden der Wein und Olivenöl mag, aber nicht wie alle anderen den Schrott aus dem Supermarkt kaufen will. Es lohnt sich...
