We visited the fairytale town of Bale-Valle again. Nice sunny day and where are we going? we decided, we go to Bale-Valle again to enjoy a walk through the old town, observing the stone houses and wandering the narrow streets within the fortified walls and find the Castle Soardo - Bembo. The beautiful Castle stands out with the beauty of its Gothic-Renaissance façade. It was built in the 16th century between two towers, and first belonged to the Soardo family, but in 1618 ( (The Soardo family was left without male heirs), with the marriage of Veronica Soardo to Alvise Bemba, the Palace became the property of the Bembo family. Pietro Bembo, Alvise’s brother, takes ownership of part of the estate after their death as the sole heir. In 1750, Tomaso, the first of the Bembo family, became the owner of a noble castle with a fixed...

Situated on the road Rovinj – Pula. The entire village was development around medieval castle, build in the 19th century. The Parish Church of St. Julian keeps the stone sarcophagus from the 8th century decorated with interlace pattern and other valuables. The town nucleus as a protected whole is a complex of the buildings bearing elemnt of Venetian Gothic, churches, town gates, circular streets as a symbol...

I just made a quick stop and spontaneous stop in this town as I saw a nice church from the main road - and when I entered the streets and saw the historical beauty of the town was flashing. This is truly a hidden pearl of the region. The atmosphere was amazing - narrow streets, history everywhere, the church and the small chapel with the iconic frescoes made a great impression. Definitively...

We weren't expecting much, but we found a beautiful little old town with quaint buildings and lots of narrow streets. There are some small, fine bars and we received a very friendly welcome. We will be back!

Discovered by accident (bike destination) but totally fall in love in this little town. Got back twice just to sit and enjoy quiet and not that crowded place. 1 hour is enough to walk and have ice cream ;)
