ABSOLUTELY A NO GO!!!! ||We (me and my husband) had a reservation, a confirmation and made a prepayment for a room for two nights in “Kamene Price Rooms” in Bale, Croatia. All that was conducted through one the big hotel reservation platforms. ||Upon our arrival we were told, that unfortunately other guests had a car breakdown and needed to stay on and therefore there was no room for us anymore and we had to move to another place. Said and done – our luggage was put into a car, as well as we, and we were driven to a very low budget place, by no means comparable to the booked location. ||Later that evening we went back to Kamene Price Rooms to express, that we were rather unhappy with the situation and doubt the story about the car break down, assuming it was a simple case of overbooking. ||The owner got really aggressive, started shouting at us and said, that we should be happy, that he organized us some place to sleep and yelled at us, that he could give the money back, if that’s what we wanted. We accepted that and left.||Having read some of the other replicas to comments I’m sure, that the outcome of this story is purely our fault, as we dared to reserve a room in the peak season and we were so ungrateful, not to accept the alternative. ||If it is so difficult to be friendly and supportive to customers and keep contracts, may be the owner is in the...

Read moreThese apartments are set in the gorgeous little town of Bale in a building which is over 1,000 years old. The whole place has a wonderful vibe and the communal areas are decorated in a relaxed and artsy style which is cool without being pretentious. Jazz plays morning till night apparently with live performances regularly through the week.||||Rooms are quirky with very comfortable beds, fast free wifi and satellite TV. All the rooms have fridges, a little hob and an adequate bathroom. The town itself is a close drive to larger cities, the beach and the airport.||||The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I fell and injured my knee on the first day of my holiday at the beach. The owner was a superstar and drove me to hospital, negotiating the administrative side of Croatian healthcare and translating for me. Sadly I had to cut my holiday short as this is an old building in an old town and so there are lots of stairs and cobbled streets to negotiate. Still, I'll be going back...
