ROSSI winery & distillery — Attraction in Općina Vižinada

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire team at Rossi Winery, and especially to the welcoming and incredibly people-oriented Monica, for making our visit such a wonderful experience.

As we are not wine connoisseurs, this visit was more of an additional experience to enhance our holiday, and we had no particular expectations. However, we must say that the place exceeded them all—we truly enjoyed it and would love to return.

Rossi is a family-run winery with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Every member of the staff we interacted with was exceptionally polite and helpful, making us feel welcome from the very beginning. The winery is beautifully located on a hill, offering a lovely view of the vineyards and surrounding hills. Sitting on the terrace, one can fully appreciate the scenery. When we visited, the place was quite busy (we had booked in advance), so we would recommend making a reservation, especially if you prefer an outdoor table—though there were plenty of seats available inside as well.

We opted for the wine tasting menu, which included a cocktail, three types of wine, a liqueur, and a platter of prosciutto, cheese, and snacks. Without giving too much away—everything was absolutely delicious! The Italian bread, olive oil, and prosciutto were particularly delightful.

The winery also offers a selection of signature cocktails, and we tried the one with pelinkovac. It was a pleasant and unexpected discovery—something new and truly enjoyable.

During the tasting, a knowledgeable staff member guides you through the wines, explaining everything in detail. We had the pleasure of being hosted by Monica, and we would like to extend a special thank you to her for her enthusiasm, kindness, and passion for her work and wine in general. She truly made our experience memorable.

As a lovely surprise, we were also treated to a small tour of the winery, which turned out to be a fascinating insight into the winemaking process.

Before leaving, we visited the winery’s shop, where guests can purchase wines, liqueurs, gin, and beautifully arranged gift sets.

To sum it up, Rossi Winery is a wonderful place to visit. We are grateful to the entire team, and especially to Monica, for such a pleasant experience and for the lovely memories we will cherish...

My favorite winery in Istria – warm, genuine, unforgettable Rossi Winery completely stole my heart. From the very first visit, everything – the welcome, the atmosphere, the view, the wine, the cocktails – radiated warmth and authenticity.

We first arrived without a reservation, a bit like parachuters – and were welcomed with open arms. Even with my somewhat chaotic ordering, the staff remained incredibly kind, professional, and cheerful. They had great recommendations, brought us delicious dried fruit with our drinks, and struck the perfect balance between attentive service and giving us space to relax.

At the end of our visit, they even surprised us with little parting gifts. We left so happy that we came back the very next day – and once again were greeted with the same joy and generosity. They even let us stay past closing time, without rushing us or making us feel unwelcome in any way.

Everyone is so genuinely lovely, the view is breathtaking, the vibe is peaceful, and there’s truly something for everyone here. We were so sorry an unexpected event prevented us from coming a third time – but we’ll definitely come agin soon!

Rossi Winery & Distillery has been part of my life since forever – the owner is my uncle, and I’ve grown up around this place. Even though I’ve been coming here my whole life, I feel the need to write this review because they truly deserve it. Every time I bring friends or special guests, it’s always a wonderful experience. Yesterday we came for cocktails, and they were simply outstanding – perfectly balanced, creative, and beautifully served.
