Villa Sara — Hotel in Općina Vižinada

We don’t recommend.

The house was filled with bugs and cobwebs with no fly nets in sight. The door right next to the kitchen was not sealed properly, leading to the kitchen’s corner being flooded with water in bad weather. We also found a live scorpion in the kitchen on our first night. The shower in the pool area was not working, let alone the sun umbrellas, which you had to tie in hundreds of different ways to get the needed use out of. The Wifi connection was so bad you could barely make use of your phone. There’s a total of 3 queensize bedrooms. The owner used a sofa-extension inside one of the living areas as a fourth queensized bed and just put another bed into the house’s empty attic to use as room for 2 more guests - mind you, this room was not even seperated by a door. You could literally hear the other people whispering from the stairwell all the way down to the kitchen on the ground floor. Not to mention the only about 1.5 meters height in the attic. I’d rather sleep on one of the pool loungers, if it weren’t for all of the bugs roaming there. Only 2 of the bathrooms had a key to lock the door. You could always walk in on somebody using the facilities in the other 2 bathrooms.

The basement was equipped with a pool table and a broken dartboard, as well as loads of bugs and somehow baby frogs ???

A seemingly stray dog spent a few days with us, which didn’t necessarily bother the majority of us, but could be of discomfort for people with allergies or a fear of dogs. The whole area was only surrounded by a vague fence of bushes, so the dog didn’t have any issues with getting inside the premises.

Another thing to mention was the absolute lack of empathy or understanding from the owner’s side. As soon as we reported the above we were met with denial and were blamed for some of these issues.

All of these inconveniences for almost € 5000. This whole experience was a joke. Get your hands on something better and don’t even bother...

I've stayed once in Villa Sara and twice in Villa Star (next door) and I only have amazing things to say! The Villas are spectacular! There's a sense of peace like I've never felt before. It is perfect for relaxed vacations, where you can just sit by the pool, enjoying the view (and you can actually see the sea, so beautiful)! The location is also very good because in short trips you can get to visit beautiful towns like Motovun, Rovinj, Groznjan, just to name a few! Speaking abou the house itself I only have good things to say! The house is perfect for families because it has 4 big bedrooms all with private bathroom. The kitchen is huge and full equipped and the living room is just lovely with very comfortable couches. The outside is just amazing, with a lovely pool, jacuzzi, trampolim for kids and barbecue! As I said, it is wonderful to chill by the pool and finish the day in the jacuzzi, so relaxing! And to make sure you never get bored there is even a "games room" with billiards, mini golf, table football and darts. The house is just incredible and I am sure I will...

Wir haben die Villa für einen höheren Preis gemietet, waren aber insgesamt enttäuscht, da viele Punkte nicht dem Standard entsprachen, den man erwarten darf. • Sauberkeit & Insekten: Bei Ankunft fanden wir Spinnweben und Insekten im Haus, darunter sogar einen Skorpion. Wir fühlten uns nicht sicher! Da keine Fliegengitter vorhanden sind, war Lüften kaum möglich. • Ausstattung: Mehrere Dinge waren defekt (u. a. Solardusche, Sonnenschirme, Whirlpool, Dartautomat). Der Eiswürfelspender war unhygienisch. Bei Regen kam Wasser durch die Küchentür (siehe Foto). • Zimmer: Die angegebene Zimmeranzahl stimmt nicht. Das 4. „Schlafzimmer“ ist lediglich ein Bett im Dachboden ohne Tür oder Privatsphäre mit einer maximalen Raumhöhe von 1,5 Metern. Einige Badezimmer konnten nicht abgeschlossen werden. Im Duschbereich war schwarzer Schimmel zu sehen! • Technik: Das WLAN war sehr schwach und praktisch nicht nutzbar, sobald mehrere Personen verbunden waren. Stromausfälle traten regelmäßig auf, sobald man Klimaanlage, Küche und Whirlpool gleichzeitig benutzte. • Grundstück: Das Grundstück ist nicht vollständig eingezäunt, wodurch fremde Tiere wie Hunde oder Katzen problemlos hineingelangen konnten. Da wir Allergiker in unserer Reisegruppe hatten war der Urlaub für diese Personen ungemütlich. • Service: Auf unsere Hinweise wurde nicht konstruktiv eingegangen, Probleme wurden eher heruntergespielt. Der Umgang war unhöflich und wenig lösungsorientiert. • Griller: Es gab keinen Aschekübel um sie zu entfernen. • Persönliche Meinung: Die Bewertungen sind älter als 4 Jahre und beschreiben daher nicht den aktuellen Zustand der Villa. Seit diesen Kommentaren wurde jedoch kein Geld der Eigentümer in die Villa re-investiert um sie in gutem Zustand zu halten (Ausnahme: Ein neuer und größerer Fernseher und eine Solardusche ist neu im Vergleich zu den Bildern auf der Website. Diese ist jedoch defekt). In Gesprächen mit der Vermieterin gab es kein Entgegenkommen bezüglich einer Rückerstattung, da 5000€ für diese Villa in diesem Zustand in der Hauptsaison ein kompletter Witz sind. Sie meinte sie habe die von uns aufgelisteten Probleme überprüft und lediglich die Solardusche war defekt. Die weiteren Probleme und Mängel wurden nicht angesprochen. Weiters hätten wir selber auf den Bildern erkennen müssen, dass es keine Insektenschutzgitter gibt und man muss erwarten, dass es Insekten gibt bei einer Villa mitten in der Natur. Bei so einem Preis und UND DEM WISSEN DER VERMIETER/ EIGENTÜMER, dass sich die Villa in der Natur befindet, kann man als Reisegast erwarten dass Insektenschutzgitter vorhanden sind. Wie bereits erwähnt: Keine Reinvestition. Insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis enttäuschend und bei dem Zustand der Villa in der Haupt- und Nebensaison ist das teilweise Abzocke!
