Ammos Kambouri Beach — Attraction in Ayia Napa

In my opinion this is the chillest beach in ayia napa. Very relaxing and comfy sunbeds with mat. There were more than half of the sunbeds free until 11am on the weekday. However, The water is not clean on the seashore, there are lots of microplastic and seaweeds. Furthermore the sand and water has lots of rocks. If you go further inside the water it is very clean. If your aim is to relax then this beach is a good option. If you want the cleanest and clearest water then choose konnos or nissi beach, however they are noisier. Beautiful beach, facilities, kiosk and lounges. It is full of plastic, micro plastic and rubbish in the water. Impossible to swim especially if you are snorkeling as you can see all the rubbish in the water ( including band aids). It has been awarded an environmental award but it’s not maintaining the standards. The uncontrolled use of plastic and rubbish management on the island makes it very hard to control and maintain beaches free of rubbish. Tourists - help to clean up and take your rubbish with you. Very hard to rate this beach. Positive sides : comfortable sunbeds , easy access, no hundred of families. From far, it looks nice.

Negative sides : there are micro plastic everywhere. I picked up two plastic bags and a bottle in the water. This ruined all the fun . It's disgusting knowing that you are potentially eating those when swimming. Besides, it's not easy to get into the water due to the rocky and rough surface.
