I had a really nice visit to Sterna Winery and Museum after a fairly tough cycle ride. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the owner, and we had a quick chat about where I had cycled to and from and a quick explanation about the winery. I was offered the wine tasting. However, I declined as I didn't want to drink wine and then cycle another 20 miles back to my apartment. Inside the winery, I received a friendly welcome and asked if I was interested in the wine tasting. I explained I was cycling, so I didn't want to drink any wine. I was then invited to have a look around the shop and the museum. The museum is quite small but very interesting. You also get a great view on the terrace if you go out the back / side of the museum. After a few photographs etc I ordered a Frappe (very good) and an ice cream and went and sat outside and continued my chat with the owner. There were a few people on the wine tasting experience, and they seemed to be enjoying it. A few more people arrived while I was enjoying my Frappe. All the people were met with a friendly welcome. The next time I visit, I will definitely take part in the wine tasting experience. It looks like really good value for the...
Read moreI had the pleasure of visiting a Sterna winery in the charming Kathikas village in Cyprus, and I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed . The winery was immaculately clean, and I could feel the love and care that was put into every aspect of the establishment.
One of the most fascinating things about this winery was that it has original cave that was once used for wine storage. This added a unique and authentic touch to the experience, making me feel like I was truly getting a glimpse into the history and culture of the region.
The service was the vilage-class servi. The representer was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines they were serving, and he didn't provide me with just the right glass for every taste.
To top it all off, I was served freshly baked bread and olives that I had to eat with my hand, which made the experience not sp pleasant. ,I would recommend this winery to anyone looking for a truly unique and memorable experience. The combination of warm welcoming, clean atmosphere, feel of love, original cave setting, and...

We come to this winery every year. When we come to Cyprus , we only come to this winery. Their knowledge is amazing, and a lovely family run it. The father is so kind and is pleased to see you. You will get a warm welcome from him or one of his sons. They have a light snack menu, their lountza and hallomni sandwich is amazing, and so is the cake. We always take away some wine here to have at home. We couldn't wait to try the new diamond wine, it doesn't disappoint. We can't wait to come back next year to Cyprus and this winery. Highly recommend,...
