It is an amazing lake full of salt. It is just amazing. The smell of waters is wonderful I recommend it. The nature is everywhere. The water is full of microorganisms and shrimps. But do not fool your self and think that those shrimps will be tasty on a grill. If you eat them you will turn pink just like the flamingos that roam the area. You can find flamingos when it starts to rain in Cyprus and the lake becomes full, which depends on the planes that spray our clouds every now and then. The best part is mosquitoes. 10 minutes near Larnaca you will be reminded of the existence of this salt lake as thousands near to millions of mosquitoes will drink every last drop of your blood while leaving you with an unbearable need to scratch the skin off your flesh. We actually was going to visit this place only because of flamingos, but when we saw this marvelous view we forgot about flamingos and decided to enjoy this sunset over the Larnaca Lake)
It’s been in December when the water just started to appear here ( because in the summer time here is only salt and mug).
