My experience at Ktima Gerolemo in Cyprus was absolutely wonderful. The wine tasting was a highlight, offering a delightful journey through Cyprus' rich winemaking tradition. The selection of wines was impressive, and the knowledgeable staff made the experience both educational and enjoyable.

Extremely Disappointed by the Double Charge!

We chose this winery to celebrate a birthday, having discussed the details with the staff beforehand. We were offered two options: either pay €20 per person, which would include three special plates, or order dishes and wine separately, paying for the service of opening and pouring wine (€5). We verbally agreed to the second option – ordering everything from the menu, and we were assured that the €20 per person would not be charged. Imagine our surprise when, in the end, we were charged for both! This is unacceptable and is nothing short of deception. I strongly advise against choosing this establishment for celebrations or any other event requiring prior arrangements. You risk being unpleasantly surprised and paying double the price for the same services. My advice: if you still decide to visit this winery, come without any prior notification about celebrations. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the wine tasting experience at Gerolemo Winery.

The location is beautiful and the winery looks modern and inviting, but the wines themselves were extremely acidic, bitter, and overly tannic — not balanced or enjoyable to drink. I usually appreciate local styles, but in this case, the flavors were harsh and unrefined.

What surprised me most was the €20 charge for the tasting, which felt excessive considering the quality of the wine and the overall experience. No one informed me about the cost upfront, and the wines offered did not justify the price.
