Monolithos Boutique Winery — Attraction in Pachna

This was an absolute gem of a find and one of the highlights of our trip!

My sister and I were hoping for a wine tasting in the Troodos mountains. We got off to a late start and noticed that all the vineyards had pretty much closed. We were disappointed as we only had a day left in Cyrus. On our journey we noticed a sign for a vineyard that said “open.” We swerved in. It looked closed, but a gentleman watering plants told us to wait. He came down, and despite the late hour, gave us a personal tour. We were absolutely astonished at the wine. Every single bottle of wine we tasted was beautifully aromatic and delicious, and that is truly saying a lot as my sister and I have done many wine tastings throughout the world. I have to say, that this hands down was the best. There’s a reason they are award winners. On top of this distinction, the Pampos the owner of the vineyard was lovely and so personable. We had a great experience with wine tasting at Monolithos. Everything was explained very well to us - it was not only a tasting but also a tour and learning experience. We tasted 6 premium wines (2 white, 2 rose, 2 red), all of them were very good. The price for the tasting was reasonable (6 EUR per person). The owner told us about each of the wines. He also made sure to give us some space to slowly taste the wines. There is a big parking space near the winery and the road was not challenging at all for our small rented car. We visited the monolithos winery and the wine tasting was amazing with really exceptional wines that surpasses the cypriot standarts! Yes, the vigneron there said himself that as a small family busyness they give emphasis not on the quantity,since they dont have it,but on the quality!
