Originally we booked two places to stay over our 6 day trip, however we were so impressed by the unique pictures of the inside of the property that we decided to cancel the other accommodation and just extend this one for the whole trip. How wrong we were to do this. Whilst this property has charm to spare, as on the face of things it is truly beautiful inside (being made entirely of unshaped stone within), and has one remarkable view in the mornings and evenings, this is unfortunately where the positives stopped for my wife and I. The first thing we noticed was that there is a sizable gap between the door and the doorframe. Whilst this didn't cause any issues regarding temperature (as we were only there in early September), the doorstep leads straight onto a main road and so there was no reduction in sound pollution all day and night, making it effectively impossible to sleep. Being the primary reason why anyone books a place to stay whilst on holiday, we were infinitely frustrated that we got little-to-no sleep for the whole vacation, rendering the whole thing a lot less enjoyable. To make the sleeping situation worse, there was a constant clicking/cracking in the roof, which just made the previous problem that much worse.
As if a severe lack of sleep wasn't the low point, the window to the side of the door is not fully covered, so if anybody fancied standing on their tiptoes they would easily see fully into our room, which made us very concerned for the security of our belongings. As you can also see in the last picture, there is an infestation of ants by the kitchen sink (only one is in the picture however there are definitely many more). Finally, as a note to the landlord/landlady, if you are going to book out more than one studio at one time, please PLEASE tell the people who have booked out the other studio(s) which one they have booked, as two nights in another couple (who were clearly mistaken as to which one they booked) tried to get into our studio for several minutes at 2:30 in the morning, scaring myself and my already very anxious wife, and I had to get out of bed to find out what the commotion was all about. Let's just say that when it sounds like someone is trying to break into your already very insecure accommodation, you can't help but imagine someone is attempting to axe murder you both!
The only reason why I haven't given this property a flat out 1 out of 5 is that despite its many infuriating problems, it was still a very pretty studio and has all of the required amenities, including: a comfortable bed, toilet, working (although inconsistent) shower, sink, refrigerator, stove top hobs, storage, a hairdryer and even WiFi (no TV though, but you shouldn't really need...

Here is a stone house, the ceiling is lined with dry reeds, the walls are stone, the view from the window is stunning in the morning, when the sun rises over the island, and you have a bottle of Commandaria, wonderful fruits, the sun, a car and in 20-30 minutes you are on a beautiful beach, after drinking a cup of coffee in a local village cafe and your life is wonderful! Despite the proximity of the room to the roadway and the noise of cars, a slightly damp smelling reed ceiling, a slightly creaking bed, you will still be the happiest from this house, the village, the sea and the island! I adore this place because I adore Cyprus! The photos were taken by me...
Read moreAmazing place if you love peace and nature ☺️ the location is perfect to explore all of the Limassol and Troodos sights and hikes. The village and the studio has this authentic Cypriot vibes. And the views from the balcony are just perfect!
The studio itself has everything one needs, there are also European adapters, in case you don't have a UK one. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The only thing that needs a replacement, are the shower curtains - they are not functional and the whole small bathroom gets wet.
I didn't meet Marina, the host, but she was really responsive, helpful and seemed nice. The whole service went smooth, with no complications. I would definitely come back here again.
P.s.: to the next one that goes there- bring food for Latte, the most kind and gentle...
