I don't think any beach in Cyprus could earn below a 4! This is a secluded spot almost devoid of the usual tourist trappiness. The waters are lusciously cool and reflect the striking blue skies. It's a place to zone out and be mesmerised by the horizon of blue upon blue. Utterly beautiful.
It's not a traditional long sandy beach. More so it is a rocky coast with small enclaves of sandy beaches. We hired a couple of deck chairs and an umbrella. The restaurant above was fine. It isn't as stunning as some of the beaches down by Paphos because to the left of you is a rather large industrial area with tall chimneys chugging some sort of polluting smoke out across the seas. None of it seemed to be headed towards us despite the strong and so fresh offshore breeze. In a way it wasn't distracting once you settle down but it's hard to ignore when you're walking around the area....
Read moreReally liked it here… had a very calm and casual day. There were very few people on the beaches, so quiet and calm. The black sand is interesting and different from other beaches in Cyprus… especially in contrast with the beautiful white rocks. There’s a nice bar with their own beach umbrellas and sunbeds… the full beds are 40 euros, the wooden sunbeds are 5 euros each, and the plastic beds and umbrellas are 2.50. The chicken snitchel is accompanied with pasta and sauce but the sauce is suppose to be on the pasta and not on the snitcchel. Sauce was very salty.
