I don't think any beach in Cyprus could earn below a 4! This is a secluded spot almost devoid of the usual tourist trappiness. The waters are lusciously cool and reflect the striking blue skies. It's a place to zone out and be mesmerised by the horizon of blue upon blue. Utterly beautiful.

It's not a traditional long sandy beach. More so it is a rocky coast with small enclaves of sandy beaches. We hired a couple of deck chairs and an umbrella. The restaurant above was fine. It isn't as stunning as some of the beaches down by Paphos because to the left of you is a rather large industrial area with tall chimneys chugging some sort of polluting smoke out across the seas. None of it seemed to be headed towards us despite the strong and so fresh offshore breeze. In a way it wasn't distracting once you settle down but it's hard to ignore when you're walking around the area....

Really liked it here… had a very calm and casual day. There were very few people on the beaches, so quiet and calm. The black sand is interesting and different from other beaches in Cyprus… especially in contrast with the beautiful white rocks. There’s a nice bar with their own beach umbrellas and sunbeds… the full beds are 40 euros, the wooden sunbeds are 5 euros each, and the plastic beds and umbrellas are 2.50. There’s ample parking nearby, both at the restaurant and at the bar. You can walk through the water along the rocks to the other little beaches along the coast, the...

Nice enviroment with a lot of open space for children to play. Great views but the food wasnt ok. The menue is not quite rich and doesnt have kids menu. The chicken snitchel is accompanied with pasta and sauce but the sauce is suppose to be on the pasta and not on the snitcchel. Sauce was very salty. Fish fillet which we ordered for the kids (because they didnt have anything else) was nearly raw. Also the baby squids were not cleaned. Capuccino was also not great. Great place for...

Kalymnos is an excellent restaurant slash taverna right above the Governor's beach. It has this huge open space and a ridiculous number of tables. My guess is that's it's usually used for big celebrations (i.e. weddings). The service is excellent. The menu ranges from pastas and burgers to traditional dishes and fishes. Another perk is that they have a big organized parking and a nice area for kids. Oh, and the view is simply stunning!
