Kalymnos Fish Tavern — Restaurant in Pentakomo

For a Cypriot living in USA for 40 years coming back home I only look for the good Cyprus cooking .. especially fish meze. I must say I am sorry but this was NOT the place ! Food ...extremely low quality and quantity ( soupia + octopus was NOT edible..plainly disgusting hard/burned and chewy ) fish ? What fish only marides and one big at the end ..no barbuni or any other kind ! Service was the worse ... At one point the table was EMPTY for a good 20 minutes !!! You lost your appetite by then .... I kind of had a bad feeling from the start when the GREEK salad arrived with no olives, cheap feta cheese and 3-4 pieces of cucumbers and tomatoes but LOTS OF XORTA .. !! This place is just for tourists that do not know better ! This was for a party of 7 adults and 1 child . Will definitely not go there again even if the owner...

Se quando mangiare fuori per te la parte più importante è l'igiene, allora questo posto non fa per te. Ci sono venita l'anno scorso e non è cambiato nulla, la qualità è sempre la stessa. Fanno pagare tanto per la qualità che offrono solo perche è difronte alla spiaggia, nulla di più. Questa volta ho preso una seafood salad (da 15€) e di mare c'erano solo pochi e piccoli pezzi di tentacoli di polpo, gamberetti non grigliati o cotti, non sembravano nemmeno al vapore, anzi non sembravano cucinati affatto (ne ho privato solo uno e spero di non aver preso i vermi) e non avevano nemmeno tolto il filetto (quindi pulito). Infine in questa insalata di "mare" c'erano pochi pezzi di surimi. Ripeto, s u r i m i. Tutti sanno che il surimi non è pesce ma uno scarto industriale. Veramente schifata e molto delusa. Come se non bastasse la salsa che c'era sopra l'insalata ha rovinato ancora di più, non era per niente un buon accompagnamento.

Ora parliamo dell'igiene, la parte più importante di un ristorante. I picchiati erano sporchi, ho trovato delle macchie di onto e un pelo, ho chiesto di farmi dare altri bicchieri e anche quelli erano sporchi. Il piatto che avevo aveva una piccola crosta di cibo vecchio. Il pane che mi hanno dato aveva un pelo.

Uno dei ristoranti più sporchi che abbia mai visto. Non è neanche bello dentro.

Attenti al vino che ordinate. Ve ne daranno un alteo come è successo a me. Ho dovuto pagare per un vino scadente per poi scoprire che non era nemmeno quello che avevo ordinato, il nome era completamente diverso da quello del menu e alla reception dicevano che era lo stesso. Non lo era. Bastava controllare su google ma per loro era lo stesso.

Io capisco che gli standard qui a cipro, sia di cibo che di igiene, sono molto bassi, ho viaggiato tanto e credetemi è veramente basso, ma non capisco come alla gente possa andare bene. Cibo pessimo ad un prezzo assurdo e l'igiene non esistente, sia questo ristorante che Cipro in generale. Sono...

The Service is in a range from good (tall male waiter) to SUPER UNFRIENDLY (female manager that also answer the calls) ! .... She was really really talking impolitely!

I ordered just starters(potato salad, halloumi, feta etc) and they were alright. I got my order after 20 minutes.

All MY FRIENDS, that ordered main dishes got there food after 50 MINUTES just to get disappointed !!!
