Golf Club Hluboka nad Vltavou — Attraction in okres České Budějovice

Golfing season is almost over so we decided to spend weekend in South Bohemia and obviously we wanted to play some golf there. Our eye landed on Hluboka nad Vltavou. I was there many years ago so was eager to see changes. Navigation to the course is so simple, its in the middle of the town, just bellow the castle next to river . First impression after arrival was, "wau there is so many changes". New parking lot, new clubhouse, that old wooden shed is gone, so much money invested in it. Checking process was quite fast and easy, staff was very helpful, course was not busy at all on Friday afternoon. Green fee is very affordable. So lets play. Be prepared that there is water everywhere, and if I say everywhere I really mean it. Small ponds, ditches across the fairways, creeks. Also mosquitos are there. Fairways were ok, soft and nicely cut. Not much difference between 1st cut and rough. What I did not enjoy much were greens, I prefer faster greens but I do understand it. They do have many foreigners at retirement age due the Austria just about 1 hr away. What was not good were tee boxes, I do not understand why the yellow ones always has to be not flat and with bad quality if they are the most used. Front and back nine are pretty similar, from design point of view the course is quite boring, there are some doglegs yes, but overall there are not interesting shots and risk and reward shots are not much applicable there. I could not even chose the signature hole. Forgot to mention driving range, so be sure its next to parking. We garbed lunch after the game and for price charged it was also just average. Beautiful and well maintained public nine hole course and professional 18 hole course. The golf are includes driving range, chipping and putting areas. All greens are well maintained. Theres is also plenty of shade thanks to the trees, which is good in summer days.

The staff is kind and nice. Parking is free. Restaurant offers snacks and drinks.

Měli jsme tu možnost absolvovat zde celodenní golfový kurz. Byla to naše první návštěva golfového klubu a hřiště, takže nemohu porovnávat.

Golfové hřiště je moc pěkné a okolí rovněž. Je zde také dostatek parkovacích míst.

Na recepci vřelé a pohodové přivítání a nebyl problém se na cokoliv zeptat nebo se čemkoliv domluvit.

Klubová restaurace hezká, čistá, upravená. Personál rovněž vřelý, staral se, aby místo bylo čisté a splnil každé přání. Jídlo bylo velmi chutné (Gazpacho, Pinsa i chobotnice). Nebál bych se vybrat cokoliv jiného z jídelního lístku.

Trenérem kurzu byl Pavel Ambrož. A nemohu říci jediné špatné slovo. Pokud jde o naučení golfu, tak to bral opravdu seriózně, výklad jasný, zároveň však byl dostatek prostoru pro vtípky a celková atmosféra byla již od začátku dobrá, uvolněná a sranda byla.🙂

Závěrečný turnaj nám bohužel přerušil prudký déšť. Přesto se každý snažil udělat maximum, aby jsme se mohli na hřiště vrátit.

Snad jediné, za co bych ubral hodnocení, je marshal hřiště. Ten na nás sice dohlížel a byl nám nápomocen při závěrečném turnaji pokud šlo o pravidla, ale podle mě byl v odpoledních hodinách už ve viditelně podnapilém stavu a místy se to neobešlo bez hloupých poznámek.
